Global Warming is Apparently a Moral Issue

Al Gore says that Global Warming is a moral issue.

Does anyone else think that it’s odd that liberals are now wanting government take action on this moral issue, when they try so hard to have all other moral guidance gutted from government? What about abortion, abstinence based sex-ed, separation of church and state and other moral issues?

Open Letter to Eastern Jackson County Commuters

Hi. In case you didn’t know/realize:

  • you drive too fast
  • you talk on your phone instead of paying attention
  • the fast lane is slower than all of the other lanes
  • you do have a turn signal

If you enjoy spending twice as much time getting to work, then keep being stupid.

James Cameron Discovers Tomb of Jesus?

Ummm. Yeah. Sounds like another Al Capone’s Vault to me — with James Cameron playing Geraldo Rivera.

I like the quote from Israeli archaeologist and professor Amos Kloner:

I’m a scholar. I do scholarly work which has nothing to do with documentary film-making. There’s no way to take a religious story and to turn it into something scientific.

Beef & Power Tools

Ah, beef and power tools…what a heavenly combo.   Gotta try this sometime.   Probably wouldn’t use chilies, however.

Cats & Global Warming

Man, I need to get a cat so I can do my part to combat Global Warming.

If Al Gore would just shut up, there wound’t be any Global Warming.

Good sermon by my pastor on Sunday

Pastor Pointer had a good sermon about divorce at church on Sunday. Same can be said for anything else that screws up God’s plan for the family.

How Photoshopping distorts reality

I’ve seen several of these type of before-n-after Photoshop retouching videos/pictures recently. Things certainly aren’t always as they appear.

Apple vs Dell — and the winner is…?

Here’s an interesting article and subsequent Mac vs PC flame war.

One angle serenaded in the comments is this: Apple’s proprietary hardware allows them to offer cutting-edge technology, making the diversity of PC hardware a disadvantage on some levels.

Best one-liner:

People don’t want a laptop that looks like a bathroom scale.

Five bucks at the door gets you pizza and drinks.

We’ll have tournament brackets for several different game and console combinations.   Halo, DDR, Madden, etc.

We will have prizes for the winners.

Drop me a note at lanparty “at” bluespringsnazarene.org if you have any questions.

Here’s the Facebook Event.

More B.S.

In case you missed it, Britney Spears shaved her head and got a tattoo after spending an extended one day in rehab.

As a parent, I can’t imagine what it must be like watching this train-wreck of a life unfold.   It’s really sad.

Shameful

C’mon, Bucks.   There’s no excuse for letting the Celtics break their 18 game losing streak at your expense.

I’m calling out Brian Skinner,   Reuben Patterson and Andrew Bogut, — 50%, 0%, and 33% from the line is not going to cut it.     Don’t be Shaq, who could be much better if he ever learned to hit the charity shots.

I’ll be so glad when Michael Redd gets back.

Number of Americans getting political news online more than doubles

313825369_99c1d8a81a_o2.jpg

I chock this up to mainstream media bias more than anything.   IMO, people are fed-up with it and are seeking out news sources that are more like their views.   That’s the way it is with me.     The evening news makes my stomach turn.   I’d rather get my news from my favorite RSS feeds with Google Reader than to listen to some biased windbag.
