For several years, I’ve loaded my My Yahoo home page with RSS feeds of sites & blogs that I frequented. When I gave Google Reader a spin, I was surprised how cool the interface was. I then took all of my feeds and added them to Google Reader and now I’ve pretty much dumped My Yahoo altogether. It seems to me that Reader updates the feeds a lot quicker than Yahoo does, which , in general, is true about Yahoo and Google for just about everything. Google: plain and fast, Yahoo:rich and slow.
Another reason I’ve stopped using My Yahoo: Yahoo released their next generation Yahoo Bookmarks Beta. I relied on the old Yahoo Bookmarks heavily. Bookmarks Beta is not available to add as a My Yahoo module. Who knows when it will be. Ticked me off. The only thing I miss from My Yahoo is the sports scores and the lead news photos. Everything else I have on my personalized Google Home Page.

Sorry about the MyYahoo bookmarks module problems… we have a couple moving parts and they’ll be sorted in the near future. If you don’t want to wait, we have a potential workaround if you contact me.
My wife was just telling me last night that she missed my My Yahoo page.
I’ll do just that.
