I’ll have to agree with the top two, for sure.
Where’s Microsoft’s Clippy and the stupid-butt “Rover” Windows Search Companion that *still* persist to this day?
I really want to put all of the retail versions of Symantec Antivirus on the list. It was never the same after Peter Norton sold out to Symantec in 1990.
Oh and what about those Microsoft keyboards that have the Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up and Page Down keys reconfigured. Oooh, I hate that.
Senihcam, Inc. Website Redesign launched
I’ve finally finished the Senihcam, Inc. website redesign. Here’s the design progression since 2002. Still planning on implementing some videos in the showroom. For those interested, the slideshow flash element is a customized version of SlideShowPro.
Tom Chi & Me
An entry I posted on my blog back on 11/16 apparently caught the eye of Tom Chi, Product Lead for Yahoo!’s MyWeb (and Bookmarks Beta apparently).
In my I’m addicted to Google Reader and miffed about Yahoo Bookmarks Beta post I expressed my frustration with there not being a My Yahoo module for the new Yahoo Bookmarks beta. One day I signed in and it just didn’t work anymore. Tom posted this comment on that particular post:
Sorry about the MyYahoo bookmarks module problems; we have a couple moving parts and they’ll be sorted in the near future. If you don’t want to wait, we have a potential workaround if you contact me.
Anyway, I did and we exchanged several e-mails. He provided a custom RSS feed for me to add my beta bookmarks back to My Yahoo. Pretty sweet.
More on Google Reader
I continue to be impressed with Google Reader. Here’s a shot of the feeds I’m subscribed to.
I finally found a linklog of the Digg/All feed that’ll take me directly to the target Digg link. The extra clicks got annoying.
Here’s my top 5 favorite feeds:
- Lifehacker — all kinds of practical tips and software.
- MAKE:Blog – a blog of people that make stuff out of everything imaginable.
- dZone.com – all kinds of links for developers
- NewsBusters.org – exposing liberal bias in the mainstream media
- Ars Technica – a great source for technology news — “serving the PC enthusiast for the last 6 x 10-2 centuries”
- digg/all – one of the Web’s biggest popularity contests

Pretty sweet list of free s/w, esp. #1 on the list. I prefer Google Reader to the readers listed — mostly because it’s online.
